Who should attend?
This course is suitable for School Leaders and Class Teachers in both Primary and Secondary schools looking to improve pupil outcomes.
Schools are no longer judged on provision but rather on outcomes. School inspection frameworks have moved away from a series of lesson observations where the teacher was expected to “perform” for the Inspector, whilst they completed a check list of such things as “uses interactive whiteboard” and “AfL”; they now focus much more closely on the pupils. Pupil voice should be ignored at a teacher’s peril!
This course will help your staff acclimatise to the new order: it’s not about you any more, it’s about them: it’s about outcomes for pupils, not teacher performance.
Aims of the course:
This course does not outline the ISI Inspection format and process, rather it will help class practitioners and School leaders understand what inspectors are looking for now and translate the inspection criteria into classroom and school practice.
